Intervention

If indicated following the assessment, a treatment plan is outlined and goals developed in collaboration with the family and/or school. Therapy is conducted on a regular basis, usually weekly or fortnightly. It may take place at the clinic, or at home or preschool/school depending on individual requirements and suitability of locations. Sessions are usually for individual clients, although sometimes small group sessions may be suggested if children are compatible and where beneficial for achieving therapy goals. Feedback and homework is provided at the end of each session. Families are a crucial part of the process and are strongly welcomed and encouraged to be involved in their child’s therapy.

Occasionally a home program, with regular review, may be appropriate.  Please ask for more information if this is an option you feel would work for your family.
